LAWN TENNIS.
REMUERA CLUB. The annual report of the Reniuera Lawn Tennis Club, to be presented at the annual meeting next week, states that the membership is 108 men and 130 ladies. From a playing point of view the club had a most successful season. In the A grade inter-club competition, Eden and Epsom was defeated in the fluid, and the club becomes the holder of the Curo Memorial Cup. The 15 and C grade teams performed with credit, the B team reaching the final and the C team (composed entirely of junior players) reaching the section final. Club members have been prominent in many open tournaments throughout the season. Kemuera players were successful in all of the major events at the Auckland provincial championships. E. L. Bartleet won the men's singles; the men's doubles, partnered by J. T. Laurenson (\Vaikiito) : Miss Murjorie Macfarlane won the ladies singles, the Jadies' doubles, partnered by Miss Marion Macfarlane, and the combined doubles, partnered by.N G, Sturt. In Hie Auckland hard court championships Miss Mariorie Macfarlane won the Indies singles, ilie 'ladies' doubles, partnered by Mrs. 15. N-'m.'r and the combined doubles, partnered hV B- Toilku. Miss Leslie Kobertou won' (lie New Zealand University singles championship.
