HURDLES AND STEEPLECHASE. SEVERAL rc.Z. HORSES ENTERED. (Received 1 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Nominations for the Victorian Grand National jumping double closed yesterday. There are 89 horses entered for the hurdles, of 1500sovs, three miles, and 68 for the steeples, of 2000sovs, three miles and a furlong, compared with 73 and 65 respectively last year. The New Zealand nominations for the hurdles are Lucess, Prince Lu, Standfast, Landmark and Make Up, and for the steeplechase Lucess, Prince Lu, Claremore, Billy Boy, Landmark, Make Up and Copey.
