AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. HAMILTON PROTEST DISMISSED. The fortnightly meeting of the Auck- ] land Rowing Association was held last night. Mr. C. H. Hunt presided, and the officers present were: E. 8.. Buckler (secretary)", A. C. Norden, C. C. Cairns, W. Oliver, A. Pooley, B. Rutledge, J. Hunn. Correspondence was received from the New Zealand Rowing Association, Marlborough Rowing Association, Hamilton, West End and Auckland Clubs, Ngaruawabia Regatta Association, B. Sandos, J. Aitken. It was decided to row the inter-club races, the Mason fours and junior double sculls on Sunday, May 29. Payment was authorised the Marlborough Association for expenses incurred in transport of boat for the inter-provin-cial eight-oar race. Regarding the Hamilton Club's protest in the single sculls handicap at the Ngaruawahia Regatta, a motion was carried: "That the umpire's report having been received, which states that all competitors were advised that the crews could go on the eastern side of the buoys at their risk, and also as there were no restrictions as to course notified on the programme, the Hamilton protest be not unheld, and that the club be advised accordingly."
