AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED
ADVICE BY EXECUTIVE.
"RESUME WORK THIS WEEK."
BALLOT TO BE TAKEN,
A decision to call the strike off was reached at a meeting of the district council of the Auckland Provincial Unemployed Workers' Association last evening, and all the men will he hack on relief jobs this week. At midday yesterday it was decided to continue the strike, but the decision was reversed at the subsequent meeting.
The following was the resolution carried declaring the strike off: "That it be a recommendation to the rank and file to resume work this week, and a vote be taken on all jobs. Returns to be brought in to the district committee at 10 a.m. on Sunday next, and the council will then consider and arrive at a decision re continuing the strike and upon what lines."
