HIDES AND SKINS.
At to-day's sale of sheepskins and hides skins were firm at last sale rates Hides were slightly easier by about %d all round. Following are to-day's quotations:—
Sheepskins.—Dry: Half bred, to 3Msd per lb; fine crossbred, 3%d; coarse crossbred, 2%d; medium crossbred, 2%d; half to three-quarter wool, 2%d; short to half wool, 2%d; quarter wool, 2%d; lambs, 3d; pelts, 2d. Salted: Best, to 1/9 each; good, 1/4; medium, 9d. Hides.—Heavy, to 4 J /id per lb; medium, 4d; light, 3%d; extra heavy cow, 3%d; heavy, 3Vid; medium, 3d; light, 3d; yearlings, 4d; best calf, 5%d; good, sd; inferior and damaged, 3d. TaUow.— Best mixed, ,15/j medium, J2/;
