TWO CRUISERS.
NEW ZEALAND'S COMMITMENT H.M.S. DTJNEDIN TO RETURN. ECONOMIES IN ADMINISTRATION. The suggestion was heard recently that a saving might be made by leaving H.M.S. Dunedin, which is refitting in England, on the Home station, and so reducing New Zealand's contribution to naval defence. It has been decided, however, that the Dunedin is to return to the Dominion, and New Zealand will fulfil her obligations in the maintenance of two cruisers on the station. Definite commitments have been made with the British Government, and they will be honoured. Economies have been made in naval administration in the Dominion to an extent which will be revealed during the current session of Parliament.
