» COMBINED CLUBS' TOURNEY. At the tourney on Mount Eden green on Anniversary Day by the adjoining district clubs (Epsom, Balmoral and Mount Eden) the section wiuuera of the rinks competition were:— Section A.—ltichmond (Epsom), 4 wins and 1 loss. Section I>. — George (Epsom) and Gatenb.v (Mount Eden), 4 wins and 1 loss. George won Ihc. play-off. Section C. —Furncll (Epsom), 4 wins and 1 loss. Section D.—Morrison (Mount Eden), Surman (Mount Eden), Grattan (Epsom) and Chappell (Balmoral), all tied- with ." wins and - losses. Monition then beat Surman, Grattan accounted for Ghappiill, and Epsom was victorious in the play-off. Inter-section Contests.—Furncll defeated G rat tin. Richmond won from George. The final between tlie two Epsom rinks will bo played later. CURTIS AND WALSH CUPS. The annual contest for the Curtis Cup took place in Talhapo yesterduy, when pairs were present from Tauuiarunui, Obakuue and Kaetihi. The cup was won by Vujcicli and Sara (Taumarunul). Soccombfi and Kyau (Taihnpc) were ruuners-up. Cronin and Thomasen (Ohakune) finished third in the aggregate. The Walsh Cup for junior pairs was competed for by players from the same four clubs. The Taihapc pair, T. V. Auld and W. McDonald, were undefeated at the end of the day's play. The Kaetihi pair. Jones and Ward, were defeated only by the winners. matamatA club. A one-day progressive tournament played by the Matamata Bowling Club was won by a Tlrau rink consisting of Swney, W. H. Allen, W. Craig and W. Main, with five wins and one loss. A Matamata rink composed of I. Black, O'Connor, Young and Cobhnm was runner-up with four wins one loss and one tie.
