TAKANINI HORSES.

BRAZANNA GOES FAST,

The inside grass track was available for galloping at Takanini this morning, the horses working the reverse way round in view of the Takapuna meeting. The going was excellent. Envoy (Taylor) was doing it easily alongside Measurer (Goock) at the finish of six furlongs in 1.18. Princess Star (Grice) galloped, but -was not timed. Amnion Ra (Inglis) and Refresher (Jones) were not asked to do their best at any part of five furlongs, which they covered attractively in 1.2. Bugle Call (Grice) was doing a lifKe better than Patecna (Edwards) at the end of six_ furlongs, accomplished easily in 1.21 2-5. Chief Jewel (Moore) and Closing Time (Jones) were together throughout half a mile in 48 l-ss. Letitia (Inglis) and Hauwhiri (Jones) ran half a mile in 50 2-ss. They were assisted over the first three furlongs by Greek Gold (Taylor), who was right up with them for that distance. Chief Joy (Jones) and King March (Moore) ran five furlongs on the plough easily in 1.8. Reviver (Fearn) was three lengths in front of Arch Ruler (Farrell) at the end of half a mile in 495. One of the best gallops of the . morning was that of Brazanna (Fearn), who was kicked right out to beat Marshland (Horne) over four furlongs in 48c3. Imperial Prince (Taylor) and Principal (Mcllroy) gave a good display over four hurdles, while Topstar (Goocli) jumped one hurdle well.. St. Ames (Mcllroy) gave a fast display while jumping two hurdles.
