TWO TRAWLERS SINK.

IN NAPIER HARBOUR.

BOTH MOORED TOGETHER.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

NAPIER, this day,

Two steam trawlers, the Sir William Wallace and the Result, sank in the inner harbour during the week-end. It is believed that the seacocks of the Sir William Wallace, the larger boat, opened, and her sinking compelled the other boat, to which she was moored, to heel over. Both boats are the property of the New Zealand Trawling and Fish Supply Company. The * Sir William Wallace was built at Sydney in 1891, and was 44 gross tons; and the Result, of 28 tons gross, was built at' Auckland in 1574.
