WEEK-END FIRES.
A wooden shed at the rear of the Mount Eden Furniture Factory, Mount Eden Road, was slightly damaged by fire about 7.30 on Saturday evening. The building, owned by the Farmers' Trading Company, contained several wooden packing cases, which were destroyed, but a quantity of dry timber packed near the shed was not burnt. The outbreak was soon suppressed by the Mount Eden brigade.
