The old story of mobs getting out, of hand, and leaders 'who slunk away while fanatics set fire to the Governor's house in five places, .is revealed in details of the revolt received from Cyprus, v:

The Colonial Office has received a tele : gram from the Governor <j>f Cyprus, Sir Ronald S.torrs, reporting a disturbance at Limassol which followed- the arrest of'the Archbishop. -.- The. police fired on the" crowd, wounding three persons.

Marines and seamen have landed at Larnaca to protect Government, property. r They had to assist the police to quell the demonstration. The cruiser Colombo has 'been ordered' from Malta fo Cyprus. Military motors unexpectedly entered' Nicosia at 3 p.m. and five of the ringleaders of the revolt and also the Greek Bishop of Kitium were arrested. They were all taken 7 on board a cruiser.
