Following the picketing of the Botanic Gardens yesterday when men were working for rations, the police to-dav charged Herbert Edwin Barnsley, aged 51, and Ernest Llewellyn Jones, aged 2-J. with begetting workers with a view to compelling them to abstain from working. Both men were remanded to October 6, bail being allowed in sureties _,f £2fio each. The police described -Jones as a man with a bad criminal record
