POLICE PATROL STREETS,
(Received 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 17.
At Toledo, Ohio, owing to steady withdrawals, four banks, with combined reeoufce3 of more than £25,000,000, failed to open for business. Eleven savings associations also ceased payments. The police are patrolling the banking districts in preparation for any emergency.
