Mr. M. Place, of Nauru Island, is at the Central HoteL. The Hon. C. J. Carrington, M.L.C., left last evening for Wellington. Messrs. E. H. Sharpe and F. Talbot, of Sydney, are at the Star HoteL Messrs. W. E. Parry, A. M. Samuel, W. W. Massey, and J. N. Massey, M.P.'s, left for Wellington laet evening. Mr. NT. Wade, president of the Auckland Kennel Club, left last evening for Wellington to attend a meeting of the New Zealand executive. Mr. G. Finn, president of the New Zealand Manufacturers' Association, left for Wellington last evening to attend the annual conference of the federation. Mr. D. Ardell, of the Department of Internal Affairs, who has • been visiting Auckland, left last evening for Wellington. Mr. J. D. Jacobs, managing director of the Atlantic Union Oil Company, with headquarters at Sydney, arrived by the Ulimaroa this morning on a, business visit. Mr. W. G. de Gruchy, Australian and New Zealand director of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, was a passenger by the Ulimaroa from Sydney this morning. He is paying a business visit to New Zealand. Mr. S. S. Dean, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, arrived from Wellington yesterday to welcome the Australian Rugby Union team, which arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa to-day. He is at Hotel Cargen. Flying-Officer A. Wall, who is with the Royal Air Force in India, is making satisfactory progress after the removal of an eye following an accident, according to advice received by his father, Professor Arnold Wall, of Canterbury College, from the Air Ministry. London. Flying-officer Wall is now in the Military Hospital at Razak, India.
