Goffe, J.P., of Gisborne, is staying at Chatsworth Flats, Wynyard Street. * » • • Mrs. Albert Abel, of Sydney, who has been on an extended visit to Auckland, leaves by the Ulimaroa on Friday. * * * * Misses Marie and Joan Curtis, of Sydney, who have been on a tour of the North Island, left by ear yesterday for New Plymouth. » • • • Auckland has the honour of being represented on the Unemployed Women's Board by Mise B. E. Carnachan, whose appointment was announced yesterday. Her public work is well known in the city. She was president of the Women Teachers' Association, and has also been the Dominion president of the same organisation, while for six years she represented the Women Teachers of the North Island on the Council of Education. Mies Carnachan is a justice of the peace, and was president of the Auckland branch of the National Council of Women for some years. She is at present Dominion president of the same body. Mrs. Macdonald, who has been appointed to the Unemployed Women's Bonrd for Dunedin, is the wife of Dr. Marshall Macdonald, and she served as a nurse in the Great War. She has been a member of the Otago Hospital Board for many years and a prominent worker and organiser in local unemployment relief.
