SECRETIVE WOMEN.
FACE REJUVENATION.
LONDON, Juiv 10,
Tlie "Daily Mail" says that hundreds of secretive -women are "hiding-"' from their friends and their families while undergoing daily treatment at the hands of beauty surgeons. They pay between £25 and £250 for facial rejuvenation. Famous actresses, elderly women and leading social figures return periodicals to the limelight after treatment. Wives whose husbands have been abroad are secretly treated before rejoining them after a lapse of years. Others pretend that they are on holidays while taking a course. Young film actresses have their wrinkles removed by cutting and stitchinc: under the eyes. The shape of the eyes is altered by similar means. The faces of the elderly are lifted by the removal of triangular pieces of skin behind the ears, or close to the hair on the forehead. The gaps are sewn together with a needle like a hair.
