BYRON MUSEUM.
INTEREST OF GREECE.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 15. The Premier of Greece, M. E. Venizelos, has come to England to preside over the opening to-day of the Byron Museum at Newstead Abbey. M. Venizelos saw the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. A. Henderson, before the British Minister left for Paris, and later he had luncheon with the Prime Minister. Mr. Mac Donald.
Lord Byron's family seat was Newstead Abbey, in Nottinghamshire. He espoused the cause of the liberation of Greece, where he went, landing at Missolonghi in January, 1524. He there became ill, and died on April 19, aged 36. He was buried in the village church at Hucknall, Torkard, Nottinghamshire.
