TO HELP THE FARMER.
-LOWER HERD TESTING FEES.
In order to assist dairy farmers in the present economic depression the directoih. of the New Zealand Co-operative Herd Testing Association has agreed to a reduction of 33 1-3 per cent in testing fees for the 1931-32 season. This reduction is based on last season's scale of charges for group herd testing, and is in respect of testing foes for the coining season .only. . Commenting on the decision, the chairman of directors of the association. All. Dynes Fulton, said it must be cleaiJy understood that the very substantial reduction in testing charges was a temporary measure only, and must not be regarded as a permanent alteration to the association's scale of charges which were in operation last season. Ihe reduction had only been possible through the financial assistance 'rendered the group herd tasting movement for the ensuing season in the form of subsidies granted by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board and the Government.
