Business on the local Stock Exchange continues only moderate. At this morning's call the hanking section seemed a shade better than yesterday, and insurances wore unaltered. Rather mote interest was shown in miscellaneous sections. Dalgety r s shares were asked for at £5 17/6, and Huddart, Parker ordinaries at £1 1/6. New Zealand Breweries were quoted ex div., with buyers at £1 13/ and sellers 1/0 higher. Buyers for Bycrofts moved up to £1 6/6. The cabled announcement that the leadin"' zinc producers of the world have agreed to a drastic curtailment in production has stimulated the inquiry for Electro. Zincs, and 15/ was offered foi the prefa. A buyer came in for "Wliittome, Stevenpons with a bid of £1 2/6. Tax free bonds were in keen demand, with £98 5/ offered for all issues. The b4's were unaltered, with buyers at The Noon Call. There were few changes at the noon call. Holders of New _ Zealand Brewery shares dropped their limits to £1 13/ , ex div., with best bidder stopping at. £1 ] 9/9 Union Banks were a shade better, with buyers at £6 11/.
