PAPAROA METHODISTS.
MINISTER ACCEPTS LOWER STIPEND. WORK OF MAORI CHOIR. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAPAROA, Wednesday. At the Methodist quarterly meeting last night a 10 per cent cut on his stipend was adopted on the motion cf the minister, the Rev. H. G. Brown. The meeting expressed appreciation of the spirit shown by the minister in meeting the people regarding the present financial position. The stipend, which was £250, is now £225. The membership of the church was stated to number 65 senior and 22 junior members. A resolution of appreciation of the splendid work done by the Maori mission choir during the recent extended tour of North Auckland was carried, and recognition was made of the worthy assistance rendered by Mr. and Mrs. j. M. Forster, who left the circuit for Auckland during the quarter.
