POWER CHANGE-OVER.
SUPPLY FOR WAITEMATA.
At 4.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon the Auckland Electric Power Board's steam plant at King's wharf took over the Waitemata Board's power demand from the Government's hydro-electric scheme at Horohoro.
The change-over was carried out without a hitch. The Waitemata Board's demand of approximately 2100 kw has thus been transferred to Auckland in order that the Waihi Grand Junction plant might be relieved by Horahora, thus enabling an overhaul to be effected.
