The final of the captain's tournament fcehveen W. S. Ralph (scr) and Dr. T. W. Johnson (I. , !) was played at Middlemore pn Saturday- and resulted in a win for Jolinson, 2 up and 1 to play. This marked the first occasion on which a junior has ffon the match for many years. A bogey competition resulted in a tie between Bryce Hart and T. Tidmarsh, one vd ; H. B.
