DISCUSSION AT WHANGAREI. GENERAL ELECTION COSTLY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this. day. The debatable matter' of political fußion was raised at the monthly meeting of the Whangarei Chamber of Commerce last night. As only twelve members were present, it' was thought best to postpone the discussion until a later date; : " ' Mr. R. H. Allan moved as follows: "In view of the economic condition of this-Dominion, and following the lead given by other chambers of commerce and business! men's associations in adopting' the fusion proposals, that this chamber strongly urge the parties concerned to give serious consideration to the proposal for a National Government."
