PROVINCIAL NEWS.
DARGAVTLI/E. At the quarterly meeting of the Dargaville Fire Board, Mr. G. Neville presiding, it was decided to reduce all wages and salaries by 10 per cent from July 1, and to reduce the number of meetings of the board to three, in lieu of holding quarterly meetings. These cuts are estimated to save £25 per annum.
