WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.
BLAYNEY—CLARK. A charming rainbow wedding was solemnised at the Mount Eden Methodist Church, Gordon Road, on Saturday (June 27), at 3 p.m., when Mr. John Roberts Blaney, son of the late Joh Blayney and Mrs. L. E. Heldt, formerly I of Devonport. now' resident in Sydney, was married to Miss Rita May Clark, daughter of Thomas and the late Mary Clark, of Fairview Road, Mount Eden. The ceremony was performed by the Re* S .T Werrln. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridegroom had for his best man. Mr. Keith Clark, brother of the bride. The bride wore a charming dress of sky georgette over taffeta, with■ double cape eflect at rue. shoulders, and pretty niched flounces to the ankles, summer, velour hat: to .tone. She carried a bouquet of pale pink luculias and maidenhair fern. ..Miss Rennie Wiseman followed the bride. - with little Phyllis Holdsworth as flower srirl Miss Wiseman wore orchid pi m< georgette, the frock falling in a graceful circular flounce to the ankles and with a short coatee, embroidered m lacv silk, of the same shade, and a velour hat to match. Her bouquet was of Iceland poppies and ferns. Ihe flower •rirl was frockecl in asparagus green, with high-waisted bodice and long skirt, pin-tucked and ruched to the ankles. A posy of primroses made a happy contrast. Mrs. T. Clark wore navy georgette and lace, with hat and coat to tone, and carried a posy of pansies and violets. The wedding march was played by Miss Elsie Reid, and Miss Leom Williams rendered a solo. The church (which was crowded with interested friends) had been beautifully decorated by "irl friends, with large bowls ot camellias, rhododendrons, poinsettias and maidenhair ferns, with a rainbow archway and wedding bell of yellow mimosa. The bride is president of the Auckland Methodist. Bible Class Union, and her girl friends formed a long guard o honour with the Union colours (gold and brown), from the church door to the waiting car. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs. T. Clark welcomed a small family party to their home in Fairview Road. Amongst the guests were: Captain C. E. and Mrs. Blaney, of Sydney. Captain Blayney is a brother of" the bridegroom,
