FOUND ON ROCKS.
BODY OF ELDERLY WOMAN. MISSING FROM ONEHUNGA. The body of an elderly woman found washed up on the rocks at the back of tho freezing works at Otahuhu early this morning was later identified as that of Mrs. Florence Dierck, aged 00. Mrs. Dierck had been missing from J her home, 5, Willie Street, Onehunga, ; since June 1. An inquest is to be opened at Onehunga this afternoon. An inquest was opened this afternoon at Onehunga by Mr. D. A. Sutherland, district coroner. Evidence of identification was given by Peter Dierek, husband of the deceased. She was aged GO, he said, and had resided with him at 5, Willow Street, Onehunga, for the last four years. Her health had been bad for the last 12 months. She had been attended by a doctor on May 28 and had frequently intimated to her husband that she wished she was out of it. He had no idea how she felt. He last saw her alive about 0.45 p.m., on June 1, when she had walked out of the sitting room without speaking. He had called out to her but had received no reply. Shortly afterwards he looked for her but could not find her. That evening he notified the police she was missing and he had been searching for her ever since. The inquest was adjourned sine die. {
