PERSONAL.
Dr. H. Annett, of Matangi, is at the Grand Hotel. Sir Lennon Raws, who arrived from Melbourne by the Niagara this morning, ie at the Grand Hotel. Mr. W. E. Brinsloy, managing director of Brinsley and Co., Ltd., of Dunedin, is ■visiting Auckland. Mr. G. de Vahl Davies, of Sydney, and Dr. T. G. Stephens, of Melbourne, are at the Grand Hotel. M. E. Joubert, of Paris, who has been appointed to succeed M. Paul Serre as French Consul in New Zealaud, arrived at Auckland by the Niagara, this morning, and is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. K,. B. Bell, of Chrietchurch returned from Australia by the Niagara this morning, and will leave shortly to preside at the forthcoming World Press Conference in Mexico City. He is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. D. Trendall, a former pupil of Kings College, will leave for England ! this week to spend three years in "postgraduate study at Trinity College Cambridge. Mr. Trendall.. who has been a master at King's College for some time, was farewelled by fellow old boys at the I annual reunion yesterday.
