WORK TO PROCEED.

TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR SCHOOL. Additions to the Takapuna Grammar School, which were suspended after the Hawke's Bay earthquake, are to be finished as soon as possible. Authority was received from the Minister of Education by the Auckland Grammar School Board yesterday. The Mount Albert Grammar School has been recently inspected to ascertain whether it is safe in case of earthquake. The board's architect, and engineers of the Public Works Department, recommended the removal of a portion of a parapet, and strengthening of the gallery in the hall. This suggestion will be forwarded to the Education Department.
