ROLL OF HONOUR.
MORE THAN 7000 NAMES. PUBLICATION TO-MORROW. COMPLETING THE LIST. Tlie list of names for inclusion on the roll of honour, which is to be erected in the Hall of Memories at the War Memorial Museum, will be published in the "Star" to-morrow. Over 7000 names have been prepared, the work having occupied the roll of honour committee for many months. The list is now as complete as it can be made, and the object in publishing the names is to give relatives the opportunity of cheeking them. In cases where names and initials are similar, Regimental numbers will.be quoted. It will then remain for relatives and friends of men who have fallen to ensure that the roll is complete and accurate. Over 150 names have been subjected to the scrutiny of the committee during the past few weeks, and there is still time for duly authenticated additions to be made. The roll of honour will be made of Sicilian marble, and will harmonise with the design and general atmosphere of the Hall of Memories. The letters will be cut into the stone and inset with bronze, aiid the particulars of the service of eflch soldier will be shown. It will also be made apparent whether the soldier died on active service or from war injuries after his discharge. It is hoped that the roll will be ready for unveiling next Anzac Day. The work of cutting the names and details into the marble is expected to occupy at least six months.
