MOUNT EDEN AFFAIRS.
I understand that since the Mount Eden local body election the following dismissals have been ordered: Sanitary inspector,, dismissed after 23 years' service, at a mcrotlis notice; drainage inspector, dismissed a ™ r^ B years' service at a month's notice; traffic inspector, dismissed after several years service at 14 days' notice; caretaker of mountain, dismissed after several years' service.. These dismissals are made in pursuance of a policy and I understand that new servants have in some cases been engaged without advertising the positions, and at considerably rocraaaea salaries. B. B.
