APPEAL AGAINST "CUT."

AUCKLAND APPLICATIONS. CASES FOR ARBITRATION COURT. Thirteen .applications for exemption from the 10 per cent "cut" in wages have been filed witli the registrar of the Arbitration Court at Auckland and will be heard at the next sitting of the Court, probably in July. Qhe applications have boon lodged by the following unions: The Gisbornc Waterside Workers' Union, Auckland Waterside Workers' Union, Auckland Milk Roundsmen's Industrial Union, the Northern Industrial District Ship Masters and Officers' Union, the Auckland Fire Brigades' Employees, the Auckland Industrial District Cleaners, Careir.kors and. Liftmen's Union, the Ohineinuvi Mines and Batteries Union, the Amalgamated Engineers at Ohinemuri, the Waihi branch of the Amalgamatea Society of Carpenters and Joiners, th". Auckland Bakers and Pastry Cooks, and the Cooks and Stewards' Union (coastal shipping), Northern District Cheese and Butter Factories' Employees, and the Cheese and Butter Factory Employees (pasteurising and distributing depots).
