A DANGEROUS CORNER.
Ifc seems a foregone conclusion that a serious accident will take place before long ill Manukau Road, at the top of St. Stephens Avenue. This afternoon a motor car, travelling at a terrific speed, nearly ran a child donn, she escaping death by inches. To the writer it appears amazing that such specd-.ig shoal be allowed, as the bend near the shops is particularly dangerous, and the traffic inspectors are surely aware that such takes place. One has only to watch the traffic a few miniuea to be convinced that drastic and imraedia e action is necessary if serious accidents are to be averted. It is sincerely hoped that this warning will be the means of checking tie speed of cars at this point. 1 OBSERVER.
