MURDER CHARGE.
INDIAN FRTJITEHER'S DEATH. TIXSLEY FURTHER REMANDED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) XEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The Police Court was crowded to-day when Walter John Tinsley, the young man who is charged with the murder of an Indian fruiterer. Xana Chiba, at Haweva on January 31, appeared on remand from Masterton. Detective Meiklejohn. for the police, applied for a further remand for a week. Mr. P. O'Dea, who represented accused, said he raised no objection to a remand, but expressed the hope that nu obstacle would be put in the way by the police of his examination of the articles which were alleged to have bloodstains on them. Detective Meiklejohn said that so far as he knew nothing had been said about any bloodstains. Mr. O'Dea: I said alleged bloodstains. This sort of thine ie being talked about. Detective Meiklejohn said he presumed Mr. O'Dea could interview the police inspector on that matter. The further remand was granted till next Wedne^dav.
