INTERESTS OF BRITAIN.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 20. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr. W. Graham, stated yesterday in the House of Commons that he understood that at a meeting of directors of the Suez Canal Company held in Paria on May 11 a decision adverse to any immediate reduction in dues was reached. The report to the British Government's directors would be considered by his Department and he would make a statement on the subject as soon as possible.
