MT. ALBERT MAYORALTY.
MR. RHODES DEFEATED. SEVERAL* COUNCIL CHANGES. After being Mayor of Mount Albert for four successive terms, Mr. L. E'. Rhodes was defeated at yesterday's poll, Mr. W. F. Stihvell gaining a majority of 720 votes. Mr. J. H. Langley, a former member of the council, was the third candidate. He was re-elected to the council. There were 9185 voters on the roll, and 5174 cast their votes. ' Four candidates stood for the council in support of Mr. Stilwell, and three were returned. They were Messrs. R. Ferner, P.
