HOCKEY.
COLLEGIATE TOURNEY. TEAMS TIE IN BOTH GRADES. The collegiate section of the Aucklnnd Ladies' Hockey Association held a successful tournament at the grounds of St. Cuthbert's College on Saturday afternoon. Competition was keen, and there was a tie in both the senior aud junior grades. Training College A aud St. Cuthbert's Old Girls shared the honours in the senior grade with 8 points each, while Takapuna Grammar and Epsom Grammar each secured 9 points in the junior grade. TOURNEY AT WAIUKU.
WAIUKU, Saturday. The hockey season In the Franklin district was officially opened to-day with a seven a-side tournament at Wamku, arranged by the Franklin Hockey Association There were eight ladies' teams present, namely, Pukekawa Pokeno, Tuaknu, Te Toro, Whiriwhiri A, Whiriwhiri B, Waiuku, and Buckland. The winners in the tournament were Whiriwiri A. A ladies relay race was won by Buckland. The Glenbrook and Kahekahe Clubs were each represented by a men's team and a youths* team. Glenbrook proved the winner in each division.
