PAYING FOR HOUSE.
. LABOURER'S BANKRUPTCY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Percv John Annis. a labourer, of | Frankton. was examined in bankruptcy by Mr. V. G. Crowhurst. the Official i Assignee. His schedule showed debts j amounting to £200. including £160 due to the State Advances Office. His assets were valued at £S. No creditors were present. In answer to the assignee, bankrupt said that; four j years ago he purchased a house in j Frankton from the State Advances Office. I paying £100 deposit. Relatives who were ! out of work came to live with him, and ! his earnings were insufficient to pay his j instalments to the Advances Office. Other creditors pressed him. and compelled him to file. He could make no offer.
