Over 200 guests sat down last evening to a "fathers and sons" banquet, organised under the auspices of . the Otahunu Methodist Church by a committee of which Mr. R- was chairman and Mr. Howard Hunter secretary. Master Jack Andrew presided over a.distmguished assemblage, which included Major-General Sir George Richardson, Mr. C. J. lunks, president of the Auckland Rotary Uub, and the Rev. W. T. Blight, of Trinity College. Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., who was unavoidably absent, tendered his greetings in a broadcast speech from station IYA, Auckland. • _'~", , An address on "Our Sons, Builders of Empire" was given by Sir George Ricnarason, who appealed to the youth of to-day to tjherish the heritage of country and Empire that was theirs.
