Mr. IT. F. Hudson, of Sydney, is at the Hotel Stonehurst.
Mr. 11. P. Toose, of Wellington, is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. W. Grounds and Mr. Dynes Fulton arrived by the Limited from Wellington this morning. Mr. C. Lind, supervisor of the telegraph engineer's office at Palmerston North, has been transferred to Napier, and will take up his duties shortly. Mr. Lind was formerly stationed at Auckland. Mr. T. S. McNicol, chief officer of the Wahine, will leave Wellington by the Rangitane to-morrow for Southampton. He is to assist Captain W. Martin in bringing out the Union Company's new ferry steamer Rangatira. Mr. W. F. Giles, director of the plantbreeding laboratory of Suttons and Sons, Reading, England, and associate of honour of the Royal Horticultural Society, who has been visiting New Zealand to study agricultural conditions and plant research work here, will leave Wellington by the Rangitane to-morrow for England.
