WATERFRONT ROAD.
OPENING ON ANZAC DAY.
NEW ROUTE FOR OMNIBUSES,
The waterfront road will be opened for vehicular traffic on Anzac Day, When, for the firet time, that route will be used by buses running between the city and the eastern harbour suburbs. Except for the completion of lighting and some minor work, the road along the harbour front is completed, and a level route is available to Orakei, Mission Bay, Kohimarama and St. Helier's. The opening of the road for bus traffic is being keenly awaited by the residents of the various bays, as the route is much shorter than the one at present used through Remuera. There has been considerable discussion on the choice of a name for the new road, but so far no decision ha? been arrived at in this connection.
