WHANGAREI HARBOUR.
WORK BY AUCKLAND DREDGE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Wednesday. According to opinions expressed at its meeting to-day, the Wliangarei Harbour Beard is quite satisfied with the progress of the improvement- work at Kioreroa. The engineer estimated that 60 per cent of the sandstone dredging Lad been completed to a depth of 16 feet at low spring tide. The total quantity dredged by the Auckland Harbour Board's Hajiai since the work commenced was 25,025 cubic yards and the cost £7210 2/3, •which represented approximately 5/6 a cubic yard.
