BOXING.
HUGHES V. JOHNS.
The Northern Boxing Association has arranged a bout between the Australian feather-weight Archie Hughes and the Auckland boxer Etarry Johns, who still holds the New Zealand light-weight professional title. This event will take place at the Town Hall on May 11. An effort to have the postponed Hughes-Donovan bout staged on May 11 proved fruitless, as Donovan will not be available this month, but is expected to sign up to meet Hughes in Auckland later.
