GRAMMAR SCHOOLS BOARD.
USE OF FOOTBALL GROUNDS
At the Auckland Grammar Schools Board meeting yesterday an application was received from the Auckland Rugby Union for permission to use the school grounds for playing matches in which the Grammar School Old Boys' junior teams take part. It was decided to have the headmiister report on the matter, and the final decision was left to the chairman. Professor A. P. Thomas was elected chairman of the board, ana Dr. Roberton vice-chairman. Mr. G. Brownlee and Mr. A Harris, M.P., have been reappointed to the board. The chairman reported that the inspectors' reports on the schools had contained one or two minor criticisms, but on the whole were most satisfactory. A vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. A. W. Hall, who was a member of the board, was passed.
