AUCKLAND ROTARY CLUB.

President C. J. 'funks occupied the chair at today's lunch meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club, held in Milne and Choyce's Reception Hall. There was a large attendance and among the visitors were Messrs. Timewell (Wliangarei), W. J. Warneford (Sydney), A. S. Tonkin (Hastings), D. T. Wood (Wlmngarei). The president stated that at the weekend a forum had been held at Orewa, at which a considerable amount of useful work had been done. Mr. W. S. Ardley was installed as a member. The president reported that a handsome jug, designed in commemoration of the silver jubilee of Rotary and inscribed witli detail of the movement and a portrait of the founder, Mr. Paul Harris, had been presented by Messrs. Milne and Choyce, who were thanked for their gift. The speaker of the day was Professor J. A. Bartrum, of Auckland University, who spoke of -his experiences on a visit to Preservation Inlet. The vote of thanks was moved by Rotarian 11. W. Dent.
