STANDARDISED CHEESE.
LONDON OBJECTS TO BRAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, this day. The "Hawera Star" to-day publishes a special Wellington correspondent's message, stating that the High Commissioner has cabled the Dairy Board, strongly advising the discontinuance of the brand "cheddar" for.standardised cheese, in view of London trade objection. A reply has been sent from New Zealand asking if the objection will be satisfactorily met if the present brand is used for the balance of the season, oh the understanding that it will then be abandoned, unless such cheese satisfies the authorities and the trade in .regard to brand and quality.
