SILVERDALE-TAKAPUNA ROAD.
Under its unemployment scheme the goyernment is supplying labour to local free for road making, providing the' local bodies provide the overseer and tools. The Takapuna-Silverdale road is ®ore a national thoroughfare than any the local body streets, and surely "is road should be attended to. It is ®ot even metalled, and in winter is impassable, and is in urgent need of attenton. The local authorities of the districts between Takapuna and Silverdale would well to bestir themselves and secure °ur to make their road passable while suoh a splendid opportunity as 100 per lCe nt subsidised labour is available.
