FOOTBALL RIVALRY.
LEAGUE RECRUITS FOR RUGBY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Canterbury Rugby Union has granted affiliation of the Athletic club, subject to members being reinstated by the New Zealand Union. Many members of the new club played League in 1930. The application followed the withdrawal of the Mai'ist club from the Ilugby League competition.
