WORK AT ELLERSLIE.

GOLD MONEY'S GOOD MILE.

EAGER ROSE AND SIR MOND PLEASE.

After rain overnight the tracks were in splendid order for training purposes at Ellerslie this morning. The course proper, with the poles 30ft out, was available, and the No. 2 grass track was also in use. Course Proper. Carrying a light 'weight Gold Money was responsible tor a brilliant gallop .over a mile. She ran the first two furlongs in 245, four in 48 3-ss, and the full distance in 1.43. W. Kemp has this mare in tiptop fettle, and she should give a good account of herself at the Te Aroha meeting. Royal Survey beat Howick and Click Clack at the end of seven furlongs. He ran the first three furlongs in 375, and completed the journey in 1.33 1-5. Although beaten, Click Clack did her work well. Operatic was timed to run home from the five-furlong post ill 1.7 2-5. Praetor and Rafflight were on terms at the conclusion of five furlongs, which took 1.5. After traversing the first three furlongs in 38 3-ss, Eager Rose was in front of Cynthia N. at the finish of a mile, which took 1.45 1-5. Eager Rose did her work impressively. From a standing start United and Tatyoon were together, with Loterie several lengths away at the end of four furlongs run in 525. Titanette was a shade better than Dark Marble over four furlongs, which took 51 3-ss.

No. 2 Grass. Puriri Park was slightly better than Manawhenua while running six furlongs in 1.17 2-5. Merry Lu, going very freely, covered four furlongs in 50 2-ss. Sir Moncl was holding Golden Lily safely at the end of a round, which they completed in 1.45 4-5. Patutahi, Spring Abbey and Koranui got to the end of .six furlongs in 1.18. There was little between them at the finish. Catoma was going easily while traversing six furlongs in 1.26 4-5. Werata was given strong work, covering his last half-mile in 55 3-ss.

King Swift was too good for Billy Boy at the end of a round in 1.48, Billy Boy taking 1.40 2-5. Royal Gallant strode home from the half-mile post in 57 2-ss, doing it very comfortably. Hannibal, who is looking in nice order, completed a six-furlong task in 1.22. Katarena sprinted live furlongs in 1.8 2-5, and Desert Star and Brown Prince ran six furlongs in 1.22 1-5. Good Boj r , carrying a light boy, got to the end of seven furlongs In 1.31 2-5. Others to do useful tasks were Ruling King, Beau Cavalier, Corinax, Speedfast, Sneer, Golden Spahi, Kamehameha, Gay Idea, Llanore and Absent. Jumpers. Lost Comet (Craddock) and Bizarro (Garrett) were Companions over six schooling hurdles. Lost Comet gave a good display, outjumping Bizarro, who hit the fourth fence and also blundered badly at the last obstacle.
