CAPRICES OF EXAMINERS.

SUGGESTION BY ARCHITECT, BOARD OF MODERATORS. (By Telegraph.--Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday, Dissatisfaction concerning examination papers in architecture was the subject of a suggestion made by the president qf the Institute of Architects, Mr. E. 11. Wilson, in his presidential address at the annual conference of the institute to-day. The suggestion was made that a board of moderators should be appointed _ to review the examination papers betoic they were issued. '•"it is certainlv essential," said Mr. Wilson, "that students should be protected against tlie caprices of examiners who, apparently, forget at tiniQS that their purpose is to, ascertain if the students have a reasonable grasp of the matter allotted for their particular course." ~ The matter has been referred to Committee on Architectural Education, which will report upon the desirability of establishing a board of moderators.
