WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

BENNETT—JACKSON. At St. James' Church, Te Awamutu, on Wednesday, the \Vedding took place of Mies Frances Jackson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Jackson, of Paterangi, to Mr. Cyril Bennett, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bennett, also of 'Paterangi. The Rev. S. JR. Wareing per-, formed the ceremony. For the occasion, the bride chose a graceful frock of fawn celaneee with uneven hemlinej and a large picture hat of the same shade. She carried a bouquet of pastel shaded flowers. Miss Norali Brownj of Hamilton,, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a pretty 1 frock of sapphire blue with tight-fitting bodice j of figured satin, and full crepe de chine skirt. She wore a large picture hat to tone with her frock and carried a bouquet of delphiniums and asters. The duties of best man were carried out by. Mr. E. Burrows. A reception was afterwards held at the home of Mrs. Curtis, in- Paterangi, where some sixty guests were entertained. POTTER—WATSON. Miss Reata May Watson, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Watson, of Mount Albert, was married recently to Mr. Charles Potter, eldest son of Mrs. and the- late Mr. A. Potter, of Green Lane. The service, was celebrated at St. John's Methodist Church, Ponsonby, which was beautifully decorated. The Rev. G. Frost, assisted by the Rev. M.. Jackson, officiated. , The bridegroom's cousin presided at the organ. The bridti was given away by her father, and Wore corded broche satin. Clirifct Church, Ellerslio, was the setting for the wedding on Wednesday evening of Miss Bertha Enshall Painted, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Painter, of Hastings, to Mr. Leslie Albert Hiil, eldest sta of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hill, of Green Lane, Ellerslie. The Rev. Mr. Stanton assisted by tile Rev. Mr. IsherwoGd Officiated. Georgette and pearl caps were the headdresses, and pink shoWer bouquets were carried. Mr. Hector Cooper and Mr. Stanley Hill, were, best' man and groomsman' respectively. The wedding reception was held at the Penrith rooms, the tables Holding quaint crystal stands of cornflowers, dahlias and pink carnations. A pink rosebud and silver bell was twSpended over the bridal couple. Mrs. Reed received the guests in an autuinn-tOiied. figured crepe fieuri, with hat to match. She carried a bouqyet of orange tiger lilies. Mrs. Hill wore a black lace and georgette frock, hat to tone, and carried'a bouquet of crimson dahlias. Miss P. Painter' Wore cornflower blue floral georgette,'hat to tone. FAHEY—MASON. The wedding was celebrated at St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, 011 Wednes. day evening last, when Zelda Mary Hauling, the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mason, Hamilton, was married to Anccl Mervyn, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Faliey, Auckland. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, a feature of the decorations being the initials of the bride and bridegroom done in flowers. The bride, who entered the church 011 the arm of her father, looked charming in a model frock of pale cream Satin beaute. The fitting bodice had a square neck and long pointed sleeves, and the skirt, which fell ankle-length, had gored flared panels the back panel forming a fish tail train. Her lace veil, which was worn high on the head, with ear clusters of orange blossom, fell to form a billowy train. This was carried by little Linette Webb, who wore cream georgette, trimmed with French roulet lace, and Master John Frye, wearing cream trousers and a satin shirt. The bride carried a beautiful sheaf of lilium auratum., The bride was attended by Miss Jean Taylor and Miss Hilda Mouse, both of Auckland/ Their ankle-length frocks of pale pink georgette hung in princess effect at the back, the skirts iu the front being composed of tiny frills. Sprays of pale pink and green camellias hung from the shoulder to the waistline at the back. Pink Bangkok .picture hats effectively trimmed with green, green shoes, and sheafs of gladioli completed a charming toilet. The duties of best man and groomsman were carried out by Mr. Coburn and. Mr. Mcll wraith. The Rev. W. C. Woods, of Papakura, performed the ceremony.. A reception was afterwards held at the . Revellers Cabaret, where a large number of guests were entertained. To receive her guests Mrs. Mason wore a frock of claret georgette and lace, with-coatee to match. With this was worn a natural shade Baku straw hat. ' The bridegroom's' mother wore a frock of navy crepe' de chine, trimmed with buttons, and a smart navy hat. Both, ladies . carried bouquets to tone. Mrs. E. Bray, who' assisted her mother, wore an anklelength frock of coffee lace with a green chenille wrap. <
